Stephanie Papadopoulos

Psychosomatic psychologist, Emotional release therapist (PhD, MPsych-Clinical)

Dr. Stephanie Papadopoulos is a Psychosomatic Psychologist and emotional release bodyworker. Twelve years of tertiary study has led to practicing privately for the last four years. She blends a powerful body of wisdom teachings and bodywork training, the felt sense, and internal guidance
practices. Her credentials are based in clinical psychology, psychosomatic therapy, and trigger point and emotional release massage therapy. She is registered with the International Association of Psychosomatic Therapy (INTAPT) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Steph has previously worked with youth and adults at Headspace, young and older adults at Epworth Rehabilitation Hospital in the context of chronic pain, and individuals across the lifespan in private practice.

““The psyche (mind) and soma (cell body) are in constant communication in every moment of life. If we allow our mind and body to speak, and unscramble the words of the psyche and soma, we can begin to decode, solve, and restore our mind-body-spirit into a more coherent purposeful state”.

Steph’s practice is delivered through an intuitive heart, and she is passionate about connecting people to their own wisdom via listening to their intelligent mind-body. She believes that our hue-man design is very much connected to our physical, psychological, social, and spiritual layers, and as such treatment is delivered to honor all these facets of the self. This integrated therapy style has the capacity to open the exploration of each aspect of the self as bio-psycho-social-spiritual beings, assist clients in better understanding the reason for disharmony in their mind-body, and invite change in the cellular body.

This treatment style is especially useful for people experiencing trauma related issues, physical challenges (e.g., chronic pain, fibromyalgia), and mood disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety) but can extend, in most cases, to the full spectrum of mental and physical health issues that may be experienced.
